Christine Deschaine

Christine is a Senior Vice President at KWP, specializing in the leasing and sale of retail properties.

Since 2013, Christine has been an integral member of the senior team at KWP and is currently the exclusive agent for approximately 225,000 square feet of commercial space across Greater Los Angeles. In the last 18 months, Deschaine completed more than 168,000 square feet of commercial real estate transactions valued at $30 million.

She serves owners of commercial space across Southern California and has been actively involved in the resurgence of Downtown Santa Monica, Montana Avenue, Downtown Burbank, Hollywood Boulevard, Marina del Rey, and Culver City. Her familiarity with city planning and processes in the region has allowed her to shepherd projects through municipalities and secure a successful tenant mix. She currently serves as a board member of the Downtown Burbank Partnership.  

With a successful career spanning 35 years in commercial real estate, Christine has distinguished herself as a business leader who is passionate about enhancing communities through her professional and volunteer work, creating value in central business districts across greater Los Angeles while improving the lives of those who live there. Specializing in retail brokerage with a focus on urban redevelopment, she serves as an advisor to institutional and private capital owners, tenants and developers, earning her a reputation as an authority in the industry.

Over the last two years, her expertise and transactional work was featured in the Los Angeles Times, California Centers Magazine, LA Business First, Commercial Observer, Connect CRE, Retail Today, Commerce + Communities Today, and the Santa Monica Star.

Notable lease transactions in the last 18 months include deals with IKEA, Poppy Bank, Sweet Lady Jane and Noma Sushi in Santa Monica; Luke’s Lobster, AJA Vineyards and BodyROK Pilates in Downtown Santa Monica, and Ameci Pizza, Togo’s, and West Coast Customs in Burbank.

Prior to joining KWP, Christine served as a Senior Vice President and partner at Lee & Associates for 20 years.
